The Eagle


...The rock is good for pasture,
What is dry, for drink.
But what is wet, for food.
If someone wishes to dwell,
Let it be on steps
And where a small house hangs down
Near water, there spend your days.
And what is yours
Is to draw breath.
For if someone has brought it
Up to the top by day,
In sleep he finds it again.
For where the eyes are covered
And the feet are bound,
There you will find it...
